The UCC Centenary Awards ceremony will be held on May 22nd, 2 PM, at TBN Hall. This significant event celebrates the college’s 100-year milestone and recognizes exceptional individuals like Manoj who contribute significantly to environmental and social progress.

I.B. Manoj, a well-known environmental activist, has been honored with the Vypeen Press Club Award for his tireless efforts in environmental conservation. His work has been focused on creating fruit forests and butterfly parks in schools, as well as restoring mangroves in beach areas. In addition to his community projects, I.B. Manoj has also dedicated his personal time to creating a small forest adjacent to his residence on a 1.5 acre land. The award was presented to him by Honorable Member of Parliament, Mr. Hibi Eaden, at the Narakkal Holy Family Convention Center.
Team Grassroute participated in the Fisheries Entrepreneurship Technology Event Pitch Fest 1.0 organized by KUFOS Business Incubation Centre (KUFOS BIC). Pitch winners are eligible for Seed Grant, Mentorship, Co-working space, Networking opportunity and Incubation support. Mr K.K. Reghuraj led the Team Grassroute.
About 75 students participated in the Pokali Farming Workshop Chapter 3 designed with the intention of popularizing Pokkali farming. By covering this chapter, participants learned the transplantation of the Pokkali seedlings in uniform distance in straight rows.
I.B. Manoj wins Vanamitra Award 2021
It was the work of Masanobu Fukuoka “The One-Straw Revolution” which lead Manoj into the life of nature. By profession, Manoj is an Electronics Engineer and he is an expert in Data Recovery from failed hard discs and other digital devices. He is a Free Software Activist too.
