Team Grassroute is happy to share that Mr I.B. Manoj, one of our colleagues, has been honoured with the Vypeen Press Club Award for environmental volunteering. The award was presented to him by the Member of Parliament Mr Hibi Eaden at the Narakkal Holy Family Convention Center in a ceremony organized by the Vypeen Press Club on the occasion of their Ruby Jubilee.
Mr I.B. Manoj is a well-known environmental activist who has dedicated his life to creating fruit forests and butterfly parks in schools, as well as restoring mangroves in beach areas in Vypeen. He works tirelessly to raise awareness about environmental conservation and promote sustainable practices.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Mr A.N. Shamseer, Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, and felicitated by Mr K.N. Unnikrishnan, Vypeen MLA. The presence of such esteemed dignitaries as well as film actress Mrs Pauly Valsan added to the significance of the occasion.
We are thrilled to see Mr I.B. Manoj recognized for his exceptional work in environmental conservation. His dedication to creating a better world for future generations is an inspiration to us all. It is heartening to see that the efforts of individuals like Mr I.B. Manoj are being recognized and celebrated by the wider community.
As we face an ever-increasing number of environmental challenges, we need more individuals like Mr I.B. Manoj who are willing to take action and make a positive impact on our planet. We congratulate Mr I.B. Manoj on his achievement and thank him for his unwavering dedication to environmental conservation.
We hope that Manoj’s success will inspire others to follow in his footsteps and make a positive impact on the environment. We must all work together to protect our planet and ensure a better future for generations to come.
Along with his work in schools and mangrove restoration projects, Mr. I.B. Manoj also devoted his personal time to create a small forest adjacent to his residence on a 1.5 acre land. This was no easy feat, as it took him 25 years of hard work to turn his vision into a reality.
Over the years, the small forest began to take shape, and it soon became a thriving ecosystem of diverse flora and fauna. The forest provided a habitat for a variety of birds, butterflies, and small animals. It also served as a source of fresh air and natural beauty for the surrounding community.
His hard work and dedication to creating this small forest is a testament to his commitment to environmental conservation. His efforts have not only contributed to the local ecosystem but have also inspired others to follow in his footsteps and take action to protect the environment.
The small forest adjacent to his residence is now a symbol of hope and a reminder of the power of individual action. We can all make a difference in our own small ways, just like Mr. Manoj did, and together we can work towards a better future for ourselves and the planet.
