SUMMARY:Planting Mangroves with Sustera Foundation for the second time.
DESCRIPTION:Grassroute joins hands with Sustera Foundation and GenRe to plant Mangrove saplings at two Natural Fish Ponds in Nayarambalam. The first site is located at Ward No. 6 Punchayil Manoj’s pond and the second site is at  Ward No. 5 Vattathara Johny’s pond.\nSustera Foundation was established in 2017 with a vision premised on the need for addressing the climate urgency in the state of Kerala. GenRe is Sustera’s ongoing project and Mangrove restoration activity is being taken up under this. \nRajagiri Outreach students also will take part in this planting program under the leadership of Mr Renjith K. Udayabhanu.

SUMMARY:Planting Mangrove Saplings
DESCRIPTION:Grassroute joins hands with Sustera Foundation and GenRe to plant Mangrove saplings around the Fruit Forest of Mr I.B. Manoj\, the Vanamithra award winner 2021 at  Ayyampilly. Mr Mr Manoj\, a famous environmentalist\, was in the news for growing a natural forest in the land adjacent to his house.\nSustera Foundation was established in 2017 with a vision premised on the need for addressing the climate urgency in the state of Kerala. The name SUSTERA is derived from the Latin word ‘TERRA’ (earth). The words ‘Susthiram’ in Malayalam and ‘Susthir’ in Hindi/Sanskrit also refer to sustainability. GenRe is Sustera’s ongoing project and Mangrove restoration activity is being taken up under this. \nMs Agnus and Mr Amjad Anwar\, Programme Officers\, Sustera Foundation\, visited Grassroute earlier on Sunday 3rd July 2022 for initial discussions.
