Finally, we’ve started the second step towards starting a Mangrove Nursery of our own. Earlier last November, we’ve arranged some bamboo poles from the banks of Periyar River, Uliyannoor, Aluva.
For a long time, most of our members were quite in silence because many of them were caught by the Covid virus. Yesterday we had a council meeting and decided to start the initial works of the nursery.
We gathered in the house of Jose, where the bamboo poles were kept. Started the work at 3.30 pm and cut them into small pieces.
